Wegovy pills are taken once daily.
Strict administration instructions are essential for proper absorption:
How to take Wegovy® pills
Take first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
Swallow with plain water only (up to 4 ounces).
Do not take with any other liquids.
Wait at least 30 minutes before:
Eating food
Drinking beverages
Taking other oral medications
Swallow the pill whole — do not crush, cut, chew, or dissolve.
If you miss a dose, skip it and resume your regular schedule the next day.
Zepbound® Vials (Injection via LillyDirect)
Zepbound is provided in vials, not pre-filled pens.
You must draw the medication into a syringe for each dose.
Syringes are available through LillyDirect at an additional cost.
